About ClearSnip and how we collect prices

ClearSnip is a free guide to the self-pay prices that office-based vasectomy clinics in the United States publish. It is independent of any clinic, hospital, insurer or medical group.

How a price gets onto the site

We read the clinic's own public web pages. A clinic appears only when one of those pages states a price. For each clinic we record the price as written, any conditions next to it, the address of the page, and the date we read it. We also record whether the page says the price includes a consultation, sedation and a semen test, and whether the clinic offers the no-scalpel method. When the page is silent on an item, the table reads Not stated.

We do not estimate prices or fill gaps with averages. If a clinic lists a range, we show the range as the clinic wrote it.

Dates and rechecks

Every row shows the date we last checked it. Prices change, and a row may be out of date by the time you read it. Confirm the total with the clinic before you book.

Ordering and payment

No clinic pays to be listed or to change its position. Every table is sorted by price, lowest first.

Hospital figures

Hospital prices on the comparison page come from hospital price pages and public price websites. Each row names its source, the kind of price it is, and the date we checked it.

Corrections

If a price is wrong or out of date, send us the page that shows the current price and we will recheck it. Contact us at inquiries@clearsnip.com.
